7. Difficulty in log in to WordPress
If you find login difficult, hackers might have taken over your website. I mean they might have deleted your admin account. As such, resetting your admin account password becomes virtually impossible. Although there is a way out, you can add your admin via FTP. But you must sort out your website else you have an unsecured website.
In conclusion, your website can be exposed to attacks from hackers. When you notice any of the signs above, there are a couple of things you can do. These includes :
- Check your status on Google safe browsing site: It will let you know if your website has been blacklisted by Google. It will also make the necessary information available to you and how to handle them.
I must be honest with you, in most cases, you will need a professional to assist you with cleaning up the mess.
- Place your website in maintenance mode: I think it is important your website visitors don’t know about the hack. So it will be saved to keep your website in maintenance mode. When your website is in this mode, only authorized users can access it.
- There are other technical things that you can do, like running a virus scan, using a firewall for your website. But like I said initially, getting a professional to guide you through these processes will be very important.

These are good ways to check and see if your website is being hacked friend. Number 4 was a surprised to me. I didn't know that a hosting company can disable your website if they suspect spamming or hacking activities even though you are paying to have your website running. I guess I'm always learning something. Thanks for an informative post. All the best!
