Aloha Everybody!

This training is about how to make your shared content more attractive using a featured image. I learned it from Jenny (Jenny28). Many thanks for that, Jenny!

It takes only a few seconds to do it :-)

Your first step:

Go to "Websites" and log into your WP dashboard. Log in as an admin. You may not have the right to do the changes as a user.

That's a great tip, Jenna. If you don't know about this setting it can take you ages to set up your images:-)

If you Tweet, scroll down a bit further in All In One and iunder Twuitter settings, Default Twitter Card, you can select Summary Large Image which will, as it says, print a large image rather than the smaller one.

You, too, Jenna :-)

There's a few settings for getting images and image sizes in social media. Some depend on your theme so it's diff to give a one-size-fits-all solution. Often theme settings override All-In-One, but not always and social media plugins can have their own settings which may or may not add to or override other settings. Argh!

For anyone posting to FB, it's important to get the image right first time as that is what FB associates with the URL. However, you can force it to take another look with the Facebook Debugger:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

This is most use when setting things up and getting it right. It shouldn't be needed after that unless you change the image.

Thank you so much, my themes used to do this automatically when I shared my posts at the start, but of late I found that my featured images no longer showed up and I knew it had to do with the upgrades, but never could figure out how to get them working again. I am going to fix this first thing in the morning. Another very useful training 😄

Thank you, Saane! You changed your profile picture. Looks good!

Yes, this was by me the case too. First was fine, but later on not. I didn't do any upgrades. Strange.

Yes!! Let me know if this worked out for you!
Additionally, you can check out Trish' training. Sending much Love and Light!
