Tip 7: Request for Rich Pins
Pins that contain additional information making pins obtrude on the Pinterest feed are called Rich pins.
Rich pins exist for products, apps, movies, recipes, places, and articles. The top two rich pins on the Pinterest network are rich pins for products and those for articles.
Rich pins on a desktop device display a website icon (favicon) and impudent title. The impudent titles on rich pins help them obtrude easily on users’ Pinterest feeds, increasing the possibility of getting it clicked and noticed.
You’d notice through the left-hand side pin that it’s a rich pin meant for an article. On the right-hand side, the pin does not have an impudent title and it is regular.
A distinctive advantage of having rich pins for articles is that when people click on it and they scroll to the description area of the pin, the blog post’s Meta description appears first. Unlike the other regular pins where pin descriptions can be modified by other users who repin them, a rich pin’s Meta description area for articles cannot be modified by other users.
Above all, having rich pins for products will make those pins display the product price and, thus, help riddle high-quality traffic back to your business website.
