Tip 3: Ensure Your Board Names Contain Relevant Keywords
The most prominent way to increase the chances of your pins appearing on the interest feeds and in the “Picked for You” on Pinterest is to give your title relevant keywords.
If your goal is to reach people who want to learn affiliate marketing, then you can use titles like “Affiliate Marketing Tips” or “Affiliate Marketing” and Pinterest will be informed of the subject.
Tip 4: Give Your Pin Descriptions Multiple Keywords
Pinterest never wanted to be called a social media network. It’s more of a devising tool for information and creativity. Being a visual search engine, millions of users perform searches on Pinterest in order to find ideas on how to live a better lifestyle, get some holiday gifts, and plan for their occasions such as wedding, birthdays, and all of that.
So, Pinterest mustn’t be seen as a place to grow just followers, but a visual search engine (visual Google, visual Bing, visual Yahoo, and more). And being a helpful blog post, every pin that links back to your site should contain two to three key phrases in its description.
Also, make sure to utilize similar key phrases in five to ten varying pin descriptions as it’s hard to predict which of them would rank higher in Pinterest search results and acquire a higher level of engagement.
