Want to boost organic traffic back to your blog from Pinterest? I’m here with 9 tips to help you drive more search engine traffic through Pinterest to your blog.

Tip 1: Create Pins that Link to Handy Resources

About three years ago, algorithm changes were made to how pins could be displayed to users on their respective home feeds. From my own findings, it’s obvious Pinterest now aims at displaying pins linked to helpful resources and quality blog posts.

Irresistible images that aren’t linked to a valuable resource are displayed less. This typically involves uploaded images that aren’t linked to any website or perhaps websites likes Flickr.

In case you don’t have a blogging element in your business, don’t hesitate to set up one that’s uploaded with pinnable images.

Tip 2: Focus on Growing Your Reach and Followers

Though it’s crucial to have a huge number of followers, it isn’t as efficacious as it seems. I’ve seen boards with a few thousands of followers, yet they’re generating the same volume of repins and traffic as boards with over 100,000 followers.

The strategy isn’t to concentrate on growing followers, but come up with pins that will reach out to other people who aren’t your followers on Pinterest.

To achieve this, you must post attractive pins that are relevant to your ideal audience. When more relevant pins are being posted, your pins will start showing up in “Picked for You” more frequently on other users’ home feeds, and you’ll be enabled to virtually reach out to millions.

A lot of effort has been put in place by Pinterest to make users follow interests more than specific boards or users.
