When you published your article make sure to share it on social platforms and try to get likes etc.

- Facebook
- Stumbleupon
- Reddit
- Twitter
- ...
You can connect your social media accounts with wordpress so that after publishing and article it posts the article on your social media channels too.
This is only basic SEO and what works for me!
