Determining Your Domain Authority
Most Domain Authority scores range between 40% to 60% mark, so to speak, but note that this range is meant for those website owners that have spent some years building links, authority, and traffic.
Brand new sites don't usually get anything near the 40% to 60% mark. They get lower Domain Authority scores. For example, one of my websites that has only stayed alive for some months has a Domain Authority of 18 while others have higher DAs..
Are you discouraged because you're having a lower Domain Authority score? Please, don't be. No matter how low your DA score might be now, it's either because your website is still new or you've not been building links so far. Start improving your Domain Authority and you'll find that it will skyrocket soon in the online world.
Building Domain Authority may really take some time due to reasons you'll figure out soon. Congratulations! There are strategies for leveling up on time so far you're willing to implement them.
What actually makes up Domain Authority?
Moz has a complete page devoted to Domain Authority (DA). See an overview in the screenshot below.
For those waiting for Moz confirmation email - check in the "promotion" or spam folders.
My website has a score of 19. The only source of external linking domains is the comments I left on WA members sites. Since then I stopped adding my domain to the comments. Some sites remove it later and the removal probably looks bad for DA.
In addition, these are mostly sites unrelated to my niche.
I think I should have some links on Quora, but I don't see it in the report.
Merry Christmas!!! I set up an account with MOZ and they sent me an link to complete the registration process, but never received it, I tried several times, don't know what the problem could ?
