Determining Your Domain Authority

Most Domain Authority scores range between 40% to 60% mark, so to speak, but note that this range is meant for those website owners that have spent some years building links, authority, and traffic.

Brand new sites don't usually get anything near the 40% to 60% mark. They get lower Domain Authority scores. For example, one of my websites that has only stayed alive for some months has a Domain Authority of 18 while others have higher DAs..

Are you discouraged because you're having a lower Domain Authority score? Please, don't be. No matter how low your DA score might be now, it's either because your website is still new or you've not been building links so far. Start improving your Domain Authority and you'll find that it will skyrocket soon in the online world.

Building Domain Authority may really take some time due to reasons you'll figure out soon. Congratulations! There are strategies for leveling up on time so far you're willing to implement them.

What actually makes up Domain Authority?

Moz has a complete page devoted to Domain Authority (DA). See an overview in the screenshot below.

The registration page was not possible to complete due to the application not scrolling to fill out completely. I tried a different browser with the same result, will try again later.

Sorry about the difficulty faced in trying to create your Moz account, though it baffles me a lot why this is happening to almost everybody that has tried to create an account in the last few hours, j52powell! I'll investigate this issue for you. I didn't actually experience this difficulty when I created my own account.

In the meantime, you can follow the advice given by MaryFRM. She asked everybody to check the "Promotion" or "Spam" folder.

Sorry about this, FKelso! Kudos for the reading! There's so much to learn but only little to implement when it comes to getting higher Domain Authority (DA) score. You never can improve your website Domain Authority (DA) without building high-quality links and Quora is one of the most working strategies for achieving that.

Thank you, Israel, for the reminder.

For those waiting for Moz confirmation email - check in the "promotion" or spam folders.
My website has a score of 19. The only source of external linking domains is the comments I left on WA members sites. Since then I stopped adding my domain to the comments. Some sites remove it later and the removal probably looks bad for DA.
In addition, these are mostly sites unrelated to my niche.
I think I should have some links on Quora, but I don't see it in the report.

Hello MaryFRM, thanks for stopping by! You're right, friend - the confirmation email might have gone straight to the "Promotion" or "Spam" folder, though didn't experience this when I created my own account.

Your domain authority score can only rise if you can start building links along with creating content every day, otherwise, it takes years to get there really, sister.

Link-building together with writing content every day is an excellent strategy for improving your site Domain Authority (DA) quickly and Quora would definitely help out. Israel Olatunji
