1. Elements in the header of the blogroll:
1.1. “Back to the top” button:
While we’re scrolling down the blogroll, at any given moment, we can return to the top by simply clicking this button. This is a practical feature.
There are occasions when the button will turn light blue and say “New updates”. This means that as we have been scrolling down, members have added some additional content and we can immediately go to the top of the blogroll to check that content.
Here’s an example of how the button looks when 2 new posts have been uploaded to the platform:
1.2. “My Pins” button:
You have probably used a similar feature to this on Whatsapp, where you can pin 3 of your contacts to the top of your list on your phone or tablet. On Whatsapp, the contacts that you pin, will always remain at the top of the list, even though new messages come in.
So this works in a similar way. Based on our priorities we can pin 4 different “cards” to the top of the blogroll. While we are scrolling down, whatever we have pinned, will always remain at the top. Take a look at the picture below with the 4 different cards that can be pinned: New Questions, New Blogs, My training progress and Affiliate Stats.
To set any of these cards at the top of your blogroll you just have to tic the circle beside it and click “Save Settings”. Only one card can be pinned at a time. We’re going to briefly describe the cards that can be pinned to the header of your blogroll:
1.2.1. New Questions:
If you have a heart to help others and are constantly checking who’s asked a question to see if you can help answer it, then this card is for you. By placing this at the top of your blogroll, you will not miss a question. And if you get distracted reading a training or watching a video, once you get back to the blogroll, you can check all the questions that have entered since you last left.
This card even allows you to filter the questions that have not been answered or simply present them all. Especially new members will be grateful to you for your help.
1.2.2. New Blogs:
If you constantly want to be up to date with all the posts that are uploaded to Wealthy Affiliate, this card is for you. This is a very good idea, because members daily blog about interesting and useful topics. You can continually take a look at the titles of these new blogs and continue reading those that have captured your attention.
Most of us got to know each other here at Wealthy Affiliate through our blogs. Reading articles from other members can tell us about them, their interests, their discoveries and recommendations. We all win reading other members blogs, so don’t underestimate this activity.
1.2.3. My training progress:
This is especially useful if you have just joined or have under a year since joining Wealthy Affiliate. First thing first and that’s going through all the training. It’s good to have the constant reminder of where you are in the training! Please don’t rest until you see that bar completed.
1.2.4. Affiliate Stats:
These stats will show how you have been progressing promoting Wealthy Affiliate. If you have the goal of 300 referral or more for this year, then this card should always be in front of you!
This feature enables you to have a quick overview of how many clicks, referrals and earnings you have received. There is also a button on this card to take you to view the full stats.
1.2.5. Remove an existing Pin.
To remove an existing pin, you just have to click over the “yellow pin icon” marked in the picture below. That will leave your blogroll clean from any previous pin.
To continue reading about the next icon, click “next page”.
Awesome :)
