1) You must deliver Instant Value to Subscribers
Your lead should deliver instant value to your subscribers. It should be a package that promises fast value. This is such that your intended subscribers will be eager to opt-in and see what it contains. The lead promising to deliver value in a year will get less attention when compared to a lead promising to deliver value in less than 2 weeks. Promise something achievable with a short period.
Don’t over promise and under deliver, rather promise on deliverable values. Another thing is to remember you are not out for a one time sale. Rather you are looking to building relationships. So your lead magnet must perform and deliver good value. This will earn you their trust.
2) It should show Your Expertise
This is what will make your customers chose you above your competitors. There are lots of content out there. You must help your audience see a reason why your material will offer a direct solution. else they won’t give you their email address.
Your lead magnet should be original, unique, a show of professionalism. This does not mean you cannot draw ideas from others. But ensure that it is something you can lay claim of.
If you are offering a free course on how to stitch, it shows that you know to stitch. You are creating an impression that people can learn from you. Thus you are establishing yourself as a leader in that niche. This means prospects can turn to you and become paying customers.
This goes to tell you that your lead magnet must be in line with where your expertise lies. It should be about your strength and not our weakness.
