I know how you feel
I know how you feel. I’ve been through that.
I admit, not as much as some of my close friends, but I’ve seen it myself. I know those challenging moments when discomfort crawls under your skin and you feel there’s nothing you can do to make it better.
When it happens to you, ask yourself: “So what?” Challenge your feeling or insecurity and inadequacy. Make it disappear.
You know how I did it today? I focused on writing this training, instead of too much thinking about the best way to write it. I wrote it in one breath. When I finished I looked through it to correct spelling and stylistic errors. I’m happy with it.
I know this could’ve been better. But I don’t care. I hope you don’t either.
I hope you will find something useful here. If you reached this last paragraph, you probably did. Now feel free to share your views and get that weight off your chest…
It was like holding up a mirror to myself and I really felt quite relieved that I'm not the only one who allows myself to get into this state sometimes!
I found a lot of your stuff really useful and it often made me realise how futile, striving endlessly for absolute perfection can be!
It's great to have many good ideas but when they become stillborn simply because of your own sense (at times) of inadequacy, I do realise that it is self-defeating and pointless.
Talk about "writer's block!" haha!
We've all felt those emotions. They are very destructive and often times even preclude us from taking action and just moving on to the next project. And you can't win if you don't play. I hate to admit it but I have been a master at doing that.
