I could hardly believe this pitch email landed me the writing Gig, but it actually did! I forwarded this pitch without:
- A clear specialty
- Relevant samples. I only sent PDF’s which weren’t related to the specialty topic
- Any pitch writing experience
And do you know what this implies? If you’re a novice at freelancing, or in a specialty or portfolio experience, it’s more than feasible to land a writing Gig.
So, let’s try breaking down this pitch and find out what I did well that most interested those editors.
