Hash tags were never really used on Pinterest but now they have caught up and caught up quickly.
There hash tags work more or less the same as on instagram. When you type in a has tagged topic a drop down menu will give you suggestions and the amount of searches for that topic which I find very useful although it only seems to do this on desktops and not mobile phones?
Since I have been using hash tags my monthly visits to my boards has risen from 8000 visits to 13000 visits.
I have to put this down to the use of hash tags as this is the only tactic I have changed.
It is also important to add eye catching attractive photos as Pinterest is all about the visuals as we know.
searching for a topic in the pin search will give you a stream of subjects on that topic but if you do not put the hash tag in it will revert back to normal search that is not as detailed.

I’m glad I wrote it now, it’s always best to do a minimum of 3 for Facebook and some suggest a minimum of 4 for Pinterest if you use that as well.
