Let's go to the exciting part of this training. Schedule your pins!
There are three BoardBooster pinning tools:
- scheduler
- looping, and
- campaign
Let's talk about the scheduler first.
You can access this feature from the top right menu Pinning Tools -> Scheduler.
Here's how BoardBooster scheduler works:
- Choose one or more Pinterest boards in which you want to schedule your pins by clicking 'Add Board' button.
If this is the first time you use BoardBooster, you will be asked about your email address you use for Pinterest account as well as the password, so that BoardBooster can pull the list of your existing board.
- Once you choose the boards (I recommend you to start with one or two boards first),BoardBooster will create a secret board of each of those boards. So, if here I choose to schedule pins for my board 'Awesome Breastfeeding Tips', there will be a new secret board named '-Awesome Breastfeeding Tips' (notice the '-' sign before the board name) in my Pinterest profile. Don't worry, it's a secret board and thus no one can see it except you.
- Here's how your boards look like after you add them to the scheduler.
- Now, if you click on any of those board, it will show the details of your pin schedule and recent pin history.
- To set or edit your pin schedule, click on the pink wheel and you will see this.
You can choose to set multiple pins per day or less than one pin per day (say, pin every 2 days) and choose the pin timing.
You can even do a more advance setting like set different pinning schedules for weekdays and weekend, but I recommend you to try the basic functionality first for now.
- Once you set this up, you can start pinning to your secret board, remember the board with '-' sign. In your Pinterest profile, your secret board will be on the way down, right after your public board. Here's how mine looks like.
- Note that if your secret board is empty (like the one in the right, BoardBooster will alert you to add new pins, and it will stop pinning for that particular board until you add new pins there).
- And if your secret board is still full of pins (like the one in the left), that means you don't need to worry about pinning more things for the next few weeks (of course, depending on your pinning schedule).
