Alright, we have covered 2 Boardbooster tools: scheduling and looping.
There's one more pinning tool that's also my favorite because it really streamlines how I share my own content (i.e. articles from my website).
This tool is called 'Campaign'.
As the name implies, Campaign tool is very handy to promote your own content to by automatically pinning it to various Pinterest board (be it your own board or group boards).
There are two types of Campaign:
1. Random Campaign
This type of campaign allows you to pin from one or several particular boards (known as the 'source' board) and plan where do you want these pins to be pinned to (i.e. the 'target board').
Let's look at the following picture to get a clearer understanding.
So, I want to pin all the pins in my board 'Awesome Breastfeeding Tips' to various boards (as you can see above).
I can set different frequency for each of the destination board (depending how busy the board is, some group boards get only a few pins a day while other gets hundreds of pins a day). Pretty cool, right.
Also, when you click the advanced setting, you'll get more control on which day the repinning to be done, whether it will include all pins (be it horizontal or vertical), or only vertical pins (which Pinterest favors, btw).
How to make use of random campaign effectively:
I use 'Random Campaign' to take care of my existing pins from my website. So I have one Pinterest board that I specifically use to showcase my own articles from my website and I use this as the source board for random campaign. And, voilà.., in just one-time setting, you are able to promote your content all the time, without you need to manually pin it one by one.
2. Scheduled Campaign
Scheduled campaign is a little different from random campaign because it allows you to set which day you want your pin to be repinned to a particular board (kind of dripping your new content across various boards).
This works great for new content that you've just published, because you only need to pin your new content once.
When this campaign runs, BoardBooster will create a secret board named -[YourScheduledCampaignName] and you just need to pin your content to that secret board, and Board Booster will take care of the rest by pinning it to whichever board you has set in the campaign.
This is an example of Scheduled Campaign setting (see the picture). Notice that I intentionally do not repin that same content every single day, I can space it apart to day 1, 3, 5, 7. Of course, you can plan you repinning schedule differently.
How to use scheduled campaign effectively:
- Typically our website have several core topics, e.g. tips and tutorial, product review, etc, so find out what are your core topics (choose 2 or 3).
- Now, in Pinterest, we also have various Pinterest boards and group boards that you contribute to.
- Map your content type to suitable Pinterest board (e.g. not all group board accepts product review pins, so be careful when doing this) and create a separate scheduled campaign to each content type.
- Start pinning your new content to your scheduled campaign secret board!
To me personally, scheduled campaign is a real time-saver and makes me more productive because to be honest, if I were to do this manually, either I will pin those pins all at once, or keep forgetting to pin my new content to several boards (and losing chance to get new followers / traffic).
Ok, to recap, this training covers 3 pinning tools of Board Booster (scheduling, looping, and campaign) that can streamline your Pinterest scheduling and save a lot of time.
If you want to get serious traffic from Pinterest and not spending too much time pinning throughout the day or every day, I highly recommend BoardBooster.
I've seen positive results in a few months after using it, and I hope you will, too.
