Step 1: Choosing a Title and Doing or Getting the Artwork Done
Try not to think too hard on this. A good place to begin would be deriving your podcast title from your site/ blog that you are doing already. This ensures that you retain your brand and are only expanding reach to a new preference market, that is, niche interested audio fans.
It does not have to be the exact site name- but at least related. For instance, if your site is MyCoolFishingGearReviews.com and your name is Ackline, you could go for Ackline’s Fishing Gear Podcast.
Again, do not fret over this. Authority is built over a period of time, then the title/name- not the other way round. If you are no designer (like me, LOL!) go to https://fiverr.com and get a professional to do it for you at an affordable price range of $5-$10.
Step 2: Obtain a High Quality Studio Microphone- Affordably
Do not fret over the brand when beginning. Consider your budget, but that does not mean too cheap. You could even use your phone's earphones' microphone :) - but just don't. Quality audio is KEY.
Choose to make an affordable investment when it comes to a microphone. Remember people will either be engaged or lost on the grounds of quality- anytime. Whether in text or audio. You already are a quality content person through the thorough Wealthy Affiliate training we have received.
No need for Eeeexpensive equipment!
Suggestions, do a long tailed Amazon search for: Studio Mic Blue Yeti (you could add With Pop Filter). They range from about $21 to $150. Preferably, confirm it has a USB connecter cable so that it is easy to directly record with your PC or laptop. A more expensive but good option is the Audio Technica Dynamic USB Mic. It's also available at https://amazon.com
In the next page we'll find out how to record ourselves using an effective yet FREE audio software. For now, you could drop a comment on other MIC/ audio equipment that could be better and affordable- to avoid my bias!
Good Job
