So Thomas, after this is done, if you choose to allow your old domain name to expire, will the pages STILL EXIST on the "new" site... under the new domain name? Thanks so much. -Alexx

This is TOTALLY NOT what I meant by Redirecting a WA Website. If you Google website redirection you will get one site that points to another. In my case I just got 800,000 products on my Niche site and while it was being updated I wanted people to go to my Super Store.

The reason is on Amazon i get less than 10%. On my SAME Products as Amazon I get 93% of the sale... even if I sell it for LESS than the Amazon Product. For these products I control the final price... not Amazon. When I am ready I can stop the redirection and have 2 totally different sites.

In fact I wanted to do something like this for another reason and Carson told me NOT TO DO IT. But this does work if you need to do it.

Hi Mac
I have been trying to get BT Connect who are my registrars and web hosters right now to do this, they have mucked it up and when you look for my site www.toonicetoslice.co.uk you get directed to the front page of WA ! I ve not looked at your tutorial, but would it help me? or am I destined to have to ring them up to sort it out?

Hi Helen.
Tricky one! You could try directing it again. Have you still got the content from your own website, or did you lose it all when they mucked up the transfer?

I have the content on my macbook, so I still have it all, its just not accessible on the web anymore.

Yeah it's going to make things difficult if it's not on the web anymore. I'm not sure there's any way to reverse this error or undo a redirect. Have you tried contacting Carson or Kyle about it?

Ive spoken to BT Connect and they have assured me that they have changed the namer servers and will take 20 minutes or so to propagate, so I should be able to get my site here at least. If there is no website there, I will have to create a new one, which was what I wanted but not with the urgency that this will create. Hey Ho ... I alway work better under pressure ! x

Well I really hope it works out for you! There's enough work to do as an online marketer without the added pressures of unnecessary complications caused by others! Let us know how it goes. :)

Hey Mac, talked on the phone to BT Connect, they did the redirection again and this time they got it right ! My site is here, all the info has gone, so I will have to start from the ground up. This will be the third site here, so I now know where Im going. There is so much here that I want to apply to my site, that its worth the aggrevation of having to build again. I have files stored on my macbook so hopefully I can copy and paste sections and then upgrade and update when I have more time ! I wonder when that will be...... :) Thank for your interest!

I'm pleased about that, Helen!
Just a shame the content was lost. I guess the only thing you may want to be cautious of is duplicate content - even though your initial copy was erased, Google may have a record of it being published onto the Internet in the past.
Perhaps it might be better to at least rephrase your macbook content in different words (rather than copying and pasting) so you don't run into issues.
Thanks for sharing this, Helen, and all the best with your website!
