3. Publish Rank-Worthy Content
As you continue to build out content, you must realize that not all content rank the same way. Some content will rank better and higher than others.
Once you’ve properly set up your website to get indexed by search engines, it’s your main obligation to see that you always create pieces of content that will help skyrocket your web pages at the top of the search leveraging some strategic keywords.
You need to figure out what type of content ranks more in search engines lest you continue to waste a bunch of hours every day creating and creating, yet without receiving any meaningful ranking. Here are examples of content that rank well in search engines.
- List posts
- Ultimate guides
- How-to posts
It’s important to note that your content should be topically-relevant, quality, helpful, and engaging. Do not publish sub-quality, short-form posts and expect good results. Rather, go for in-depth, quality, long-form blog posts that offer real value to readers.
One of the most crucial things to do with your content is optimizing for a first-page ranking:
- The use of latent semantic indexing (LSI) keywords
- Strategic keyword placement (in headlines, subheadings, opening paragraphs, content body, alt text and descriptions, and so on.)
- Keyword research
- In-image optimization (tagging & image compression)
- Adding well-composed, fully-optimized Meta descriptions and other Meta tags
- Internal linking.
