Linking YouTube Channel to Google AdSense
Now that you have enabled the monetization of your videos it’s time to link your channel to Google AdSense so you can get paid.
While still logged into your YouTube account...
1. Head back over to the Creator Studio by clicking on your profile image (top right) and then click on Creator Studio.
2. Click Channel (to the left) then Monetization
3. Click on How will I be Paid under the Guidelines and Information
4. Click on “Associate an AdSense account”
5. A box will pop up letting you know that you will be redirected to AdSense, click on Next
6. You are going to be asked if you want to proceed to a Google Account that you already have created or at this point you can create a new Google AdSense Account. I chose to login to my Google AdSense account that I already have.
7. At this point you want to make sure the Channel name is correct where it says “I will show ads on:” then click Accept Association.
8. Once you accept the association it will bring you right back to the monetization page and you should see the below Association.
YAY!!! You did it. Your YouTube Channel is officially linked to your Google AdSense account. Now you don't have to worry about not making the money that is rightfully yours.
Now, let's make sure all your Videos are Monetized >>>
Firstly, thanks for bringing this to light! Don't tell me I wasn't making adsense all this time b/c I didn't connect my adsense account...ugggggh :( (I had the greeen "$" signs next to my videos so I thought the ads were "live" ...boo hoo hoo)
Oh well. Hey, do you know if "Hosted Adsense for Content" takes a while to show up...b/c I connected my account and I don't see that?
I'm not sure if connecting a different Adsense account to a different Youtube account has anything to do with that missing.
Do you know?
Thanks,
Charlie
