Make sure all videos are monetized
Now that you have enabled monetization and linked your Google AdSense account up you want to make sure that the videos you have are monetized. To do this, follow the steps below:
You should still be logged into your YouTube account.
1. Get back to your Creator Studio by clicking on your profile picture and then Creator Studio
2. Click on Video Manager (located on the left hand side of your page)
At this point you will see the list of videos you have uploaded. To the right of each video you have 3 icons. The first one tells you if your video is listed as Public, Unlisted or Private. The second one is the day you published it and the third is the monetization.
If your video is monetized then it will have a green dollar sign and if it is not monetized it will be grey.
To monetize the video…
3. Click on the grey dollar sign
4. You’re taken to the Info & Settings page. Under your video check Monetize with Ads
5. Choose the Ad Formats you would like (I just leave it at the default)
6. Save changes and that video is now monetized.
Okay, so now you have each video monetized it's been a few weeks and you're gaining some views on your videos.
Let's go see how much you have earned off those Videos >>>
Firstly, thanks for bringing this to light! Don't tell me I wasn't making adsense all this time b/c I didn't connect my adsense account...ugggggh :( (I had the greeen "$" signs next to my videos so I thought the ads were "live" ...boo hoo hoo)
Oh well. Hey, do you know if "Hosted Adsense for Content" takes a while to show up...b/c I connected my account and I don't see that?
I'm not sure if connecting a different Adsense account to a different Youtube account has anything to do with that missing.
Do you know?
Thanks,
Charlie
