Now find this area, where the 5 SEO ranking qualifiers are listed. You want to have your focus keyword in each of these categories, in order to get the green "good" SEO checkup rating.
First, does your "Article Heading" (post title) contain your focus keyword? If not, fix that.
Second, is your focus keyword contained in your "Page Title"? (your SEO title, the one that shows up on Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc., searches) ... check to see that here-
This shot is from another, older post, which I am using to improve its SEO checkup while writing this training.
Note that in the 5 qualifying listings, I now have a green "yes" next to item #2, my SEO title does contain the focus keyword for this post (Kitchen Tips).
But ... I am getting a red warning, alarming me to the fact that the Page Title is too long, and will not show up in the listing.
You have to keep in mind that your SEO Page Title will automatically include your site's name at the end, so if you get this warning, I strongly suggest you reduce the length of your post's title.
IMPORTANT! If you do have to shorten your post title, be sure to also edit the post's permalink, Not doing so will make it so back links to this post will no longer work!
Okay, I shortened mine, so now my SEO checker-upper looks like this:
And the red warning has gone, my SEO Page Title is now an acceptable length.
I will get into the last few steps on the next and last page ...
Great post - thank you! I don't see that on my All in One SEO pack either. Do you get that feature if and when you upgrade to Pro Version?
Are you using All in One SEO Pack? I don't appear to have this option on any of my WP sites... am I missing something?
