Make the Most of Your Reading

I know reading is a major part of building our businesses. And if you are like me, you are a slow reader. You have numerous blogs that relate to your niche. I understand how important it is to stay up-to-date on everything. Pace yourself when you are reading those blogs and checking out other websites within your niche. Reading and researching is a part of building an online business, but how many times have you sat down at the computer saying you will only spend 10 minutes on reading blogs and than all of a sudden an hour flown by? Yep! I know! I have been there.

I do that all of the time when I sign on to WA. I enjoy reading people's blogs, but sometimes they do not add value to my own business growth or learning, so I later become frustrated with myself. I am sure you all can completely relate to this.

Thanks Steph. I like the idea of using a timer. It reminds me of a technique we use at the office, called the "Pomodoro" technique. It's all about blocking off time where you can work undisturbed.

Great training!

Yep. I have heard of that. The Pomodoro technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, like for instance 25 minutes in length and is separated by short breaks. These intervals are named pomodoros. Am I right?

Spot on, Steph. It really works quite well, actually.

reminds me of the days of anti-mousearm software. They also broke it down in shorter and longer work moments.. with breaks where you couldn't use your pc anymore as you had to go for a walk or an exercise ;-)
