7. Keep your paragraphs short.

No paragraph or group of words should be more than 4-5 lines long. Gone are the old days of writing lengthy paragraphs that ramble on and on. You may have done that in High School, but it doesn't work for the web.

The internet has changed everything. People want bite size thoughts. Even if there is more than one point you want to make, be sure to make it with bite size clumps of text.

Mobile devices have made this an even more crucial aspect of publishing your articles. Can you imagine reading a long paragraph on a mobile phone? I wouldn't.

No matter how important the information may be, people will not read lengthy paragraphs. Keep them short.

8. Keep sentences short.

No one likes to read bulky paragraphs. Neither do they like to read long sentences. Keep your writing crisp. Do this by writing short sentences.

There is a great tool you can use atHemmingwayapp.com. It’s easy to use. There are instructions on the website. It will help you write in clear, crisp sentences.

I recommend inserting your article into the app before you publish.
