So ...

Before anything else, let's define the terms ...

Bounce rate represents the percentage of visitors who enter your site and “bounce” (leave the site) rather than continue viewing other pages within the same site.

Page view is a request to load a single page on your site.

OK. With that having said, let's see the obvious question ...

Why the heck do these numbers matter?

Well, the answer is very straightforward ...

If you are running a site that is primarily monetized by banner ads, then the number of pageviews matter.

Also, If you are trying to build a loyal audience, then the number of bounce rate matters.

And of course, the lower your bounce rate, the better ads eCPM (cost per thousand) or CPC (cost per click) you will get. When the same user views the next page, your ad provider most likely has a better ad to serve them thus giving you a higher eCPM or CPC.

And needless to say, there are countless methods and tricks that can help you to improve these numbers ...

Right now, I will share with you 6 methods I've successfully used ...

So let's move forward to the next lesson to see the first three methods ...

In the Navy we called it RETENTION! How do we in the Navy keep the new recruits signing up for the next contract after the first contract comes close to expiring!

Give them incentives to stay in!

Great blog and training Zed! Worth spreading out! And thanks for sharing!

Thanks for putting all this in an easy to read and easy to follow lesson.
It serves as a good checklist. :)
I have a few taken care of, but realize that there are a few tweaks I can do to make it better, and I will need a bit more content to implement the rest.
Almost there... thanks for the encouragement.
