Using the Right Caption for Your Videos
The caption of your video alone should be able to give your audience an idea of what to expect from it. If, for instance, your audience decides to watch the video without the volume on, will they still be able to understand the concept or main idea of the video?
Give it good editing where necessary. There are many free editing tools that can help you make clear and interesting videos. You can also add text overlays to the videos to make them more interesting.
If your video has a simple title that describes its content well enough, then your audience will find it easily. Remember to add the title as you upload it on Facebook.
Managing Pop-ups
If pop-ups come up in your videos, ensure it is well set to come up in a non-disruptive manner. You can set the time when it will come up towards the end of the video and you make sure it does not interrupt viewing of any important part of the video.
Have a Point of Focus
Don’t try to talk about so many things in your video. Rather, keep it simple and easy to understand. Ask yourself if the content of the video is worth sharing. Does it contain a message that will have some relevance to the audience?
If the audience tries to explain it to someone, will it take too long to do or will he get confused at some point? Jonathan Perelman of BuzzFeed gave some reasons people share videos. Which of them is the objective of your video?
- To be social
- To express how they feel on a topic
- To show off
- To show they are the first to make a discovery
- To make others laugh
