So ... That's it!
If you are happy how the imported document looks in the visual tab, just click the "Insert into editor" button and the plugin will insert the WP-ready HTML version of your .docx file into your Wordpress post or page editor.
Here's the live result in my case:
Cool isn't it?
As you can see, the plugin will convert your .docx files into a clean HTML format which is 100% compatible with Wordpress.
Currently, the plugin supports the following features:
- headings like Heading 1, Heading 2, are converted into h1,h2, etc.
- lists
- tables (imported without formating like border and cell colors)
- plain HTML formating commands like bold, italic, superscript and subscript
- images embedded in the original document
- URLs
- textboxes (converted into plain paragraphs)
- footnotes and endnotes
Needless to say, the plugin won't make any changes to your original .docx document, and of course, it doesn't store it on your site.
And that's it my friends!
