Knowing your readers' pain points is important so you can include them in your headlines and opening paragraphs. Instead of presenting the same information that they would find in every article out there, highlight a unique or unusual aspect of your content.
For readers to read the rest of your content, make an interesting promise. For example, mention that you’ll give them practical ways to write content quickly without compromising quality.
2. Make Readers See What You See
When you create content about your business, it is easy to focus on yourself and assume that everyone else sees the same thing. They don't!
People will not "hear" or pay attention to you until they see what you perceive.
You must clearly state your position. Use storytelling, descriptions, case studies and other methods to help prospects understand your message.
3. Personalize It
Personalize your writing to make it more important.
Perceptually interesting and meaningful information can grab attention and bring clarity to your potential client's mind.
It doesn't take much explaining to tell someone that his house or hair is on fire. Instantly you get attention.
4. Use Emotion
Emotion can be a powerful way to convey your business messages clearly and make them personal.
It has the triple benefit of adding clarity to clients' conversations, giving them a reason for talking about you and your company, and activating the brain circuits that activate behavior and decision making – emotions are better than logic.
5. Attention is Your Most Important Asset.
This is the most important concept you should know if you want to grab people's attention. You have only a few seconds to grab someone's attention. Don't try to be clever, cute or use insider language.
Don’t use industry terms sparingly unless they are appropriate for niche marketing. These tactics can confuse people, even if for a short time.
Thanks for reminding me to ask questions of my readers, this is a tip I haven't been using enough.
Thanks so much.
