Engage Your Readers Vibrantly

More comments equate more rankings for your blog and more rankings equate more traffic in the online world. So, if you’re able to engage your readers vibrantly, you’ll find that you can overtake/override a lot of bloggers who have gone ahead for years. You’ll surely meet them where they are and will leave them behind heading towards the first-page ranking in Google.

As Google counts so much on engagement for search engine ranking, you’ll need tons of high-quality and authentic comments on your blog and all the basic strategies for getting more comments will have to be implemented.

Engage Your Subscribers Actively to Avoid Penalties

When it comes to engagement, it doesn’t end on the site alone. You also build engagement with your email subscribers so that you won’t get a slap by search engines and the email service provider.

There is a kind of penalty you’ll receive if you don’t always screen your subscriber database to find out who have not been active over a long period of time. These are people who neither open nor click through to read.

Screen Your Subscriber Database Frequently

The screening of your subscriber database will surely save you from Google’s penalty and that of the email service provider. I’ve found that many veteran bloggers only send out emails without monitoring their list to see who is active and who’s not.

If you’re in this suit, then make some adjustments in order to run smoothly and play safe in the online world.

Hello Israel,

Thank you for sharing.

Do you have any tutorial about how to install and activate an email subscription form on my blog, please?

I was just looking for this.

Thank you.

Are you looking to use a service such as Aweber? If so, they have some tutorials you can follow. If you’re looking for a simple email signup plugin, take a look at the Email Subscribers & Newsletters login. It doesn’t offer auto responders but will allow you to collect an email list, send newsletters and alert your subscribers to new posts.

Thank you. I think that it is better to use Aweber.
Happy Thanksgiving day.

That is the consensus but Aweber costs money so some prefer a free option until a paid option is in the budget. Have a great holiday!

Thanks for your help, merlynmac! Much grateful! Some people would want to test it out first before buying while others wouldn't have the money to pay for the upgrading, thereby going for the free option tentatively.

Writing an article a day is the hard part. How many hours a week do you think is required to implement what you say fully?
Also what about getting the email subscribers in the first place. Option 1: a lead magnet, what are your thoughts there?
Option 2: I know some blogs have a simple pop-up without offering a lead magnet
- which is recommended for a new blogger just working on getting traffic?

Thanks for stopping by, JohnJStanley! Kudos for the reading! Though it may seem to be hard for most people, I want to assure you that by the time you'll immerse yourself into doing it, you wouldn't ever want to drop it.

I create a unique keyword-searched post on my blog per day which only takes me one hour 30 minutes with all revisions done together with the writing.

The Lead Magnet Opt-in plugin will let you give some kind of offer to your visitors in exchange for their email subscriptions. Yeah, some blogs do have a simple email subscription form without using the Lead Magnet plugin at all and they're getting lots of subscribers depending on their exposure. Thanks for the participation!

Thanks Israel, you are really one of the leading mentors in this community. I appreciate your trainings and comments. I notice you have used the simple, neat Blogging Tips and SEO updates opt-in located in your sidebar using Specificfeeds.
1. How is that working out for you in terms of getting email subscribers?
2. Why did you choose that over a lead magnet and email service provider such as aweber?
Thank you, John
