Get Started With The Google Search Console
In this tutorial, I'll show you how to get started with the GSC, add your blog accurately to the GSC and put your blog settings in place using the Google Search Console (GSC).
#1. Adding your website to the Search Console
Visit the Google Search Console, login and click the "Add A Property" button.
Then enter your site homepage URL into the box.
Now, let's verify your site.
Below are the three most preferred methods to verify your site though there are several ways to do this.
- Snippet Of Code (Highly Recommended): Go to your site homepage HTML and paste a small snippet of code to the <Head> section.
- TXT Record or CNAME: This is the stage at which TXT record or CNAME is added to your domain settings.
- HTML File: This is the stage at which an HTML file is uploaded to your website.
Note that both the HTTPS and non-HTTPS versions are verified for your website.
Now move to the next stage once you've completed stage 1.

Hi Israel, this is great info. I love the step by step guide, that covers everything. I haven't used Google Search Console as yet, I didn't know how, so this was very helpful. Thank you.

I've been in there but can't verify, then forgot about it.........
it also can't find my site, and it shows it has it, but if I do a search on that page everything I've written comes up..........
I've got nothing, and not much time to screw around with it today!
I you've got help, which I'm sure you do - I can only get so far with what you wrote - let me know!
Thanks much,
Laurel
