My recommendation is now that you pick one social media platform and focus on mastering that one. Study everything that you find about it and master it.
Provide engaging content with your audience consistently every day or at least every week, reply their questions and comments.
My favorite Social media channel is YouTube and I've focused building a large YouTube channel. You'll find me on YouTube by searching my name "Roope Kiuttu".
You can choose Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter or whatever channel fits the most for you.

I have usually shared all of my posts in 6 social medias. It took only 30 seconds with MassPlanner tool. Now MassPlanner is not available anymore but there are tons of other ones: Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.
Update: Nowadays MassPlanner doesn't officially exist anymore...
By sharing your posts on social medias, you will also build links to your website which is one metric for Google rankings. Social shares will also bring traffic and traffic means usually more $$$.

Yeah, Uncle Scrooge is Roope in Finnish version of Donald Duck. But I think Roope comes from the name Robert (or Spanish version Roberto).
It is a fact if members here at WA are willing to put in the effort and follow the training that you explained in your tutorial a lot of their content will get ranked highly on Google!
