1) Share Quality Content
One very funny thing about social media is it takes just a click to follow and un-follow someone. If your content is good, you are just a click away from being followed, and same if your content displeases your audience they are just a click from saying goodbye.
Quality content is not negotiable if your goal is to build a brand that will last the test of time. The content you create is a reflection of your brand. Contents do not have to be informed of written articles, they can be informed of images, videos, animations, podcasts. It all depends on you.
When producing content as I said initially, quality is very key. Poorly produced video or blurred images will not be good promotional materials. People will not read articles that are poorly written, neither will they share them. Although you don’t need a degree in English to write articles, writing well-structured articles is always a plus.
2) Know Your audience
This is very different from building your audience, the whole of the social media strategy is about building an audience. But my emphasis is identifying who your audience is and their desired type of content.
Google Analytics can help you determine the type of audience you have. This info will consist of acquisition channels and basic demographics.
Most importantly you can use any data acquisition method like surveys to determine who is in your audience. The info you will be looking at during this time will include:
- Demographics like age, gender, location,
- Their goals
- Where and how they source information
- How do they shop
- Are they mobile or system friendly
- What class of technology are they using
- Best social media platform
- Their pains
- And a lots more on how best you can know them
Other sources of information you can use our social media tools that you can use to analyze your audience.
Putting this information together will help you develop a unique customer persona so that as you raise content in terms of articles, video or even images there is a particular set of clients in mind
