Why Have Your Own Product?
There are many good reasons to sell your own product from your website, but the two main ones are:
- You set your own price and therefore control your own profit margin.
- You always get your customer’s details so that you can add them to your mailing list.
But I’m an Affiliate Marketer
If you’re an affiliate marketer for vendors in a specific niche (not a generic one like Amazon) you have a very simple way of creating your own product. You take half a dozen or so related products and turn them into a pack.
For example, one of my websites is in the natural supplements space and covers areas such as skin care, diet, sexual health and so on.
I’ve taken three skin care products from one vendor and three skin care products from another and combined them into a new product that I’ve called the Women’s Skin Care Pack. And yes, I’ve also got the Men’s Skin Care Pack as well.
The products are a mixture of topical applications and internally taken supplements but they all have the same aim – to improve the quality of your skin.
