As we all know, PayPal makes it super-easy to accept donations on your Wordpress website.
This is why so many site owners, bloggers and non-profits add PayPal donate buttons on their sites.
Needless to say, there are many possible scenarios ... They can generate funds for their cause, they can try to cover the costs of running their website, etc.
The point: regardless of your goals, there are many situations where it could be a good idea to create an attention-grabbing donation page, or to add a nice PayPal donation button to your sidebar ...
So I've decided to create this short tutorial where I will show you how to add PayPal donate buttons to your Wordpress website.

Would it be wise to create a paypal donate hutton for a cause that is not related to your website? For example a shelter, spay/neuter clinics?

There is no golden rule here Jennifer ... It depends on many factors ... The purpose, the target audience, etc ...

Yes I get that but do you not have to put something in that section or can you leave it blank and leave it up to the person making the donation.
If you do have to complete that section I just wanted an idea say what is the minimum to ask for ?

PayPal will give you 3 options:
Any amount
An exact amount
Set 3 amount options, plus any amount
So if you are unsure, you can choose any amount or set 3 amounts plus any amount.

PayPal will charge some kind of fee, I know the charge me on the business account pennies on the dollars.
So, you may want to make sure you set a donation of $5 to help offset the fees.
