Page jumps are a neat to advance to a certain spot in a post/page. This works well for 1 or 2 jumps. Of course you can set as many as you want but it’s more convenient to use a plugin instead, if you have more than 3 sub-headings you want to jump to.
However, you can set this page jumps anywhere in your post/page. You can link any word to anywhere. It doesn’t have to be a sub-heading. If this is the first time you’re creating a page jump, you may want to create a dummy post and play around with it until you get the hang of it. But you don’t have to if you can follow along without problems.
Remember, ONLY use a hashtag (#) in the link code (starting with <a href) and NOT in the target code (starting with<a name). If you do, the page jump won’t work and you need to have the exact wording.
For example, if your ID in the link is “#sub3”, you can’t use “sub” as the target. It has to be “sub3”.
That pretty much concludes this tutorial. If you’ve enjoyed and learned something from this tutorial, I’d appreciate a “Like”.

Hopefully once I do a few, I'll get more confidence in doing page jumps. There is so much value added to a website (better experience for both human and Google spider visitors) by them.
I'm considering the WP Plugin, but want to wait until I'm sort of caught up on my site. Taking care of business as we go probably makes the task a lot simpler.
