How to Create Page Title
Before you start creating your content, you must know what people can be searching for based on your keyword. So, try and search for what your users will search for based on the keyword and see what the results will look like for the first ten results featured on Google's first page.
Google is always trying to return the best result for each search query. So it would be best if you tried to create content, page titles, and meta descriptions that answer the user's query. The probability of your results matching the searcher's intent will determine if your content becomes visible or not.
As such, you should look out to optimize for users' intent. Let us understand what search intent is
A. Write with Users intent in Mind
Search or user intent is the "why" behind the search. It can be divided into four different broad categories. They are:
- Commercial
- Transactional
- Informational
- Navigational
Let us examine each of them and the keywords you can use to tailor your title and meta description to meet users' intent.
- Commercial Searches are searches users do when looking out or wanting to know the best prices for a particular product or service. Words usually used alongside keywords include best, cheap, budget, top, price, compare, etc.
- Transactional Searches: this is the next level after commercial searches. In most cases, these users are ready to make direct purchases. They are either buying or hiring for themselves or close relatives. Words like buy, hire, order, purchase, rent, trial, and reserve are expected.
- Informational Searches: are research-based intent. Here users want more information about a product or service. You will find words like course, guide, example, how, if, info, learn, improve, review, testimonial, tips, tricks, etc.
- Navigational Searches: are searches done when searching for a related page or downloadable resources. You will find words related to brand names, websites, or apps.
B. Get your User's attention Psychologically
Putting the right word in the right place is always a winning ticket for advertisers. The same should apply when crafting your title. Learn to use the right psychological trigger. There are a thousand and one ways you can communicate your thoughts.
Learning to use words like "save," "learn," "exclusive," and "solve" are lovely ways to get attention.
Every blogger must spend nothing less than 10 minutes to come up with great title.
Great training again.
Thanks for reminding us how important this is to blogging and getting people to read our content.
