Of course, you can check your keywords manually in Google to see where you rank. HOWEVER, don't do this in a normal search window. Why? Because Google customises your search results and will show you websites you frequently visit higher in the results than it will for other people. So you might get excited seeing your site on page 1, when you're not really on page 1.
Instead, you need to open up an Incognito window in Chrome:

However, my advice is to not spend too long manually checking keywords like this. It's okay for occasionally quickly checking one or two keywords, but if you have a lot of keywords to check you can waste a lot of time doing it this way.

Hi Marcus! I used to use whatpageofsearchamion.com but it doesn't work for me anymore for some strange reason. I'll check the Serplab site. It sounds like a good method. Thanks for the tips! Alanna
