It really is that simple.

To find motivation that is. You can understand now by doing a number of things and finishing with a reward, can really be a big motivator! And, hopefully in some small way, you feel good about yourself!

So if you think about it, you keep doing this, it will all be done right!?

I bet you said No.

I can bet this, because you and I both know that as you move up that list, other things are going to get in the way, they might be more overwhelming, they might take longer, and ultimately, you lose focus and dedication. THEN you have to try to re-motivate by trying smaller things again, and smaller rewards, but still don't get to the "big priorities" right?

You're overthinking again:

You're adding way more to the list then necessary now, and actually overwhelming yourself more.

So, instead of creating a vicious cycle, lets use the main list to create goals.

When I say goals, I mean realistic goals, but this is when time management comes into play. Because you're right, the bigger priorities are getting tougher, and longer, but you want them accomplished right?

Stop overthinking and create realistic goals for your priorities using your normal schedule, and stick to these goals.

Make on a separate sheet of paper with the next two bigger priorities with goals, or deadlines that you can follow through with. They HAVE to be realistic or else there is no point in completing these tasks, unfortunately.

Think of a nice reward as well to give yourself when you complete these goals, after all it's still an accomplishment, right?

I know this is crazy but:

You've just learned how to create motivation and stay dedicated by your own rules.

Tasks 0/3 completed
1. Create a goal, on your own schedule to complete two bigger priorities
2. Meet your goal of completetion
3. Remember to reward yourself
