I bet that took you a minute...

And by minute, I mean it took you quite some time to adjust, think, add...etc.

At this point I've probably just made you feel completely overwhelmed.

Actually...You might just be OVERTHINKING.

Even the most average human being overthinks. Either it's just making a decision, or just prioritizing the things you want to accomplish! There really is no "secret" or prescribed medication that can help these feelings. But YOU can.

There will be many tips chalk full in these pages to help you cope with overthinking and becoming overwhelmed. If I just listed them off for you like some website, you'll be less likely to retain it.

So, my first reward to you, is now you can relax. Because what we just did was make and categorize the things you need or want to get done. It was that simple if you think about it. Yes, it's okay to relax now. Just because you haven't fixed or began anything yet is the first way to begin overthinking and causing yourself to become overwhelmed. Thus, leading to becoming unmotivated, uninspired, and lose focus and dedication. I call these here the "negative terms."

Notice how I rewarded you for your task accomplishment?

This is one of the many ways you can avoid those negative terms, and become lethargic.

It sounds crazy, but think about it! Humans feed off accomplishments and rewards.

If you don't believe me, try this.

Think of one thing you want right now:

It could be free! It could be food, or a cigarette. Something small, but something you really want. Even just that cup of coffee. Make it realistic though. Let it be something simple, yet rewarding.

Pick 2 of your lowest priority tasks:

Just two of the smallest things you have to get done. It could be paying a bill, taking a shower, watering your plants, or even just checking emails. Something that had been making you overwhelmed and overthinking enough to write down, but they are at the bottom of the list.

Fully complete these tasks:

After you can officially cross these tasks off your list, whatever reward you chose to give yourself if these tasks you have written down are completely done, reward yourself!

(And if your tasks were longer you feel, next time remember a bigger reward that would make you feel achieved.)

If you haven't realized yet, you just gave yourself the power of motivation.

Tasks 0/3 completed
1. Complete lowest priority task
2. Complete second lowest priority task
3. Reward yourself once tasks are complete
