In this video tutorial, I walk you through how to setup your BackWPUp plug-in which will backup your website on a schedule you set to your Dropbox account. Using this plug-in you will not need to do an external backup of your website. You can automatically have it backed up to your free Dropbox account.

This training assumes you already know how to create an account with Dropbox.com and have already done so. If you have created a Dropbox account, you should do so before watching the tutorial.

Once you have your Dropbox account, you will need to go into your Dashboard and install and activate the plug-in called BackWPUp. Go to Plug-ins > Add New and in the search box enter 'BackWPUp". This an image of the plug-in you want to install:

In this tutorial, I walk you through where and how to set your scheduled backup, how and where to enter your Dropbox authentication, etc.

If you enjoy this training and found it useful please click on the green "like" button.

If you have any questions, please leave them in the comment section below and I will reply. Thank you for watching this tutorial. I do hope it helps you.

Thank you Steph for this very important tutorial. Excellent information. Kyle did mention it in one of his lessons but did not say how to do it. Which left a few of us kind of scratching our heads to what to do.

Hi Linda.

I know. Kyle does recommend backing up your website and mentions Dropbox, but I wanted to offer a step-by-step video walk through on how to do it because there are a number of tabs. I can answer any questions you might have. Have an awesome some day!

Thanks again for some timely training. In one of the certification courses, Kyle had mentioned that we could use Dropbox for backing up our sites but did not give any training on how to do that (at least not to my knowledge). I did sign up for Dropbox but I did not know what is was supposed to be doing. Now I know. Rick

Hi Rick:
I am familiar with the training you are talking about. And yes, you are right There was not any training on HOW to do it - so I am glad this helps you. Were you able to accomplish this without any problems? Let me know if there are any questions.
