I am going to use a handy plugin called Worth The Read.

Here it is:

It's a quite big plugin (1.10 MB), so let's see the usual speed tests ...

Here are my results before installing the plugin ...


... and the result after installing and activating the plugin:

As you can see, it's not a tiny plugin, but is definitely a well-coded one, because is almost invisible ...

So, let's see how it works ...

Thank you for another educational class. I'm trying to keep the plugins number at the minimum from the reasons we all know. I wonder if the progress bar can be implemented using some code. Do you have any knowledge in this direction?

I'm sure that there is a way to implement something similar with a code if somebody has strong coding skills ... After all the plugin itself is nothing else, but a code ... But I can't help you with that :(
