In my personal opinion, the Amazon-like magnifying zoom is a mandatory feature for any ecommerce or affiliate website.

After all, we are talking about tangible physical products and believe me, small details make big difference ...

Everybody is interested in details, so is always a good idea to use a zoom feature in order to allow users to see details that they would not see in a normal sized image.
