What you can do to prevent AdSense fraud...
These simple tips will help you to prevent unwanted 'ad clickers'...
- Make sure your web hosting offers access logs...if need be, you'll be able to present Google with a copy...if there's something wrong, they will find out what it is...
- Install click monitoring software...type these words into your browser and you'll find a FREE software program...
- Keep a close eye on your server logs and if anything suspicious is going on you will pick it up quickly...anything that looks abnormal...report it immediately...
- I don't know how to do this, but you might want to find out how to disable your own IP address and your local geographic area...
- This might be stating obvious, however, make sure your ads are not appearing on sites that promote anything illegal, xxx sites, and gambling sites...
- Don't say anything to your friends and family...they might think they're doing you a favor by clicking on the ads a gazillion times...not good...
- If someone you know happens to find your site, knowingly or accidentally, it's important for them to know they should never be clicking on your ads...
- Finally, if you get bailed up by Google, BE TRUTHFUL. Don't lie to them...remember who they are...they are way more educated about these things than you will ever be! If you have done anything accidentally or intentionally...confess...it might save you from being barred for ever!

Hi Steve,
Great information. I was a victim of Click Fraud with Adsense years ago and google let me know where it was coming from right away. Luckily, I could terminate the clicks in time and did not get banned, but it is very real and a very real danger.
Are there any click tracking systems you would recommend above the others? Also, do you know if there are any that are setup specifically for Amazon Affiliates?

This is VERY useful, thanks for posting this. The temptation is there to click on those ads, but the consequences will be devastating especially to those who worked long and hard to get revenue from Google AdSense. I certainly would much rather have it the right way, the Google wants it.
