Let’s take a look at some video producing brands that may inspire you to start your video production.

1. Channel 9 from Microsoft

It was launched in 2004 and allowed United Airlines passengers to listen to unedited cockpit audio. Microsoft developers had the chance to produce content in an unscripted environment.

There were videos, audios, podcasts, conversations, and even interviews on Channel 9. Then, they cared more about the quality of ideas over the quality of production. But today, they have made so much progress that they now broadcast professional videos.

Channel 9 is a great example that has shown that you don’t need to have the best equipment before you can start production.

2. Moz’s Whiteboard Fridays

This video series began in a very humble way. If you check out the early ones, you will see that the production quality was not so good. Sometimes, you would hardly get his explanations clearly but now, you will see that there has been a lot of improvement.

The cameras are better and the lighting too and all you will see now are well-produced videos. These are just a few popular examples from many who started simply with what they can afford.

Seek Knowledge on Video Production

As you begin your journey into video production, you need to consider attending classes where you can learn about video production. One such class is Lynda where you can learn about video production and editing.

It is a very good resource for beginners and experts and you will learn about video creation, scriptwriting, and editing.

You can also search out blogs that deal much on videos like James Wedmore’s YouTube video blog or Tubular Insights where you can get information about making videos for social channels and even see examples of videos from leading websites.

yep I'm one of those people Israel. I tend to stutter, then the words don't flow. Your tips on recording are great. Someone else suggested I write out a script on what I want to say. I suppose practice makes perfect.

Hey Bray, writing a script for your video is important, as it ensures people who, for one reason or the other, are unable to watch can still go through the content of your script and grab what you have on the video. Thanks again!

Thanks Israel, it is my intention to create videos as soon as possible. Unfortunately I get very nervous and that is not good to transmit. I hope to improve in the future.

Of course, you can make use of text-to-speech tools to create your videos and you will never have to worry about appearing before the camera. Thanks for stopping by, Claudio!

Good ideas as ever. I haven't been to Lynda in years but I do remember it having a high quality of training.

Wow, good to know, Rosana! Appreciate your comment on this tutorial! Lynda was one of those who started out so low, but later upgraded their video quality. What a role model!
