Take Your First Steps

Every great business started by taking the first step. If you are worried about being able to produce great video content or what your audience will think about your content after you create it, then you may never take those steps.

If you are waiting until you have all the right equipment to give you the quality production, then it is quite unlikely that you will take those steps. As you think of producing videos for your content, it is important that you should just start with whatever is available for you to use, and you will get better at it as time goes by.

If all you have is just a mobile phone, don’t waste time, use it. If you can afford a small camera recorder and a microphone, it is good too. Once you begin, you will find out that there is no stopping you, as you will keep getting better with it every day.

You may also want to call on a friend or someone with some experience at video recording to give you a hand and help you get over your fear.

You can start with very short videos or small projects like creating five-minute videos that explain some of what your audience will find in your articles or some motivational stories that can get your audience convinced to look up your website.

As you gain more experience in recording videos, you can start recording longer videos and taking on more complex projects. You can move on to converting most of your content to videos and creating new video content.

yep I'm one of those people Israel. I tend to stutter, then the words don't flow. Your tips on recording are great. Someone else suggested I write out a script on what I want to say. I suppose practice makes perfect.

Hey Bray, writing a script for your video is important, as it ensures people who, for one reason or the other, are unable to watch can still go through the content of your script and grab what you have on the video. Thanks again!

Thanks Israel, it is my intention to create videos as soon as possible. Unfortunately I get very nervous and that is not good to transmit. I hope to improve in the future.

Of course, you can make use of text-to-speech tools to create your videos and you will never have to worry about appearing before the camera. Thanks for stopping by, Claudio!

Good ideas as ever. I haven't been to Lynda in years but I do remember it having a high quality of training.

Wow, good to know, Rosana! Appreciate your comment on this tutorial! Lynda was one of those who started out so low, but later upgraded their video quality. What a role model!
