OK, I'm not sure how reliable this free rank checker is, but a few people here seem to use it and like it so i will be using this rank checker for this training as I don't have access to the Jaaxy one.

Its called Free SERP Checker and here is the link https://www.google.co.uk/url?s...

Now I will show you the simple steps that I have been doing to my old posts from back when I didn't know what I was dong....NOT THAT I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING NOW, LOL

apologies for the small images, I hope you can still get the idea of it

STEP 1. CHECK THE CURRENT RANK BEFORE YOU DO ANY ALTERATIONS TO THE POST

As you can see that the post I want to get a better ranking for is in 54th position in google so lets see if I can get it up the pages any further by simply doing this....

STEP 2. CHANGE THE PUBLISHED DATE AND ADD A NEW PARAGRAPH TO THE START OF THE POST.

I always start off by changing the date (circled red) to the day before I give the post a re-vamp, and also write a completely new paragraph with the keyword in there at the start. You can either add to the current paragraph or you can add a totally new paragraph. Just make sure its under the heading and before your old content.

LIKE SO....

Notice I left the old first bit of content which is in-between the red lines.

Next Steps On The Next Page

like if you like and comment if you need help :)

Hi Matthew, in answer to your question about using ALT in images: the ALT text is what people see who can't see images. It is a text description of your image and the bots of Google see this too. It is generally recommended to use your keyword in at least one image, of course use it in a way that looks pleasant and natural. It increases your ranking if you do. But don't just stuff the keyword in each ALT text, because that will be noticed by Google too. Google uses your ALT text to index your picture as well, so be descriptive and if possible use the exact keyword 1 time and matching keywords to the other images you have, so it's clear to Google what it's all about.

Thank you for your training, it's a nice read and a great idea. Only I don't see why I would change the date in Wordpress, because in your sitemap Google is going to be notified that you made changes, the robots will then re-index your post and rank it again if there are lots of changes. Changing the date isn't going to work. If you act as if it is a newer post, you will also have a duplicate content issue, which you want to avoid. You don't need to do that :) Google does mention the post date in the search results only if you allow that in your meta's and it's recommended not to do that, because it takes space and you rather use that space for your meta description text :)
