You need to click on page one and hit enter and you will be taken back to the top of the results page, but now you will be viewing page one results also. (see arrow below)
Now you have all of the results in front of the keyword on the screen and you want to make sure you are not ranking another post or page or even your whole website anyplace on page one.
The goal to to rank you content on page one, and you must have this information before using the keyword to prevent duplicate and wasted work.

After I clicked on the page one on this keyword phrase I could see what my competition consists of that is ranked on page one (this is also the content you want to out rank, which is another reason you want to check it out closely) I found a very interesting result in position one on page one under the paid ads.
Now, I make a page and it appears on my own site within Google 1-2 top pages. However, it always competes with Peakware, and the irony is that it competes with MY OWN contributions at Peakware (my own text there about the same mountain). What to do, have to live with this. Jovo
