A broadcast email differs from a follow-up email in that it is a "one time" email. Broadcast emails are typically utilized by email marketers when they want to get important information out there, want to cover a promotion, or they want to just connect with their list to let them know that they exist.

The important thing that you need to understand is that once your follow-up sequence finishes, you are not in contact with these subscribers any longer. Thus the need for a broadcast message.

So what do you write about in a broadcast message?

Well, it doesn't really have to differ from a follow-up sequence. It can contain a pure promotion of a product, can be a tool for continually building the relationship, you can offer surprise bonuses and valuable content, can be industry news, or you can cover a launch of a new product or service.

A little trick...

Some emails convert better than others, and some emails get a much more positive response than others. You will notice this when you send out a broadcast and you can utilize this as testing grounds for creating the ULTIMATE follow-up sequence.

So when you do send out a broadcast that gets good results, add it to your follow-up sequence. This way you can continue building the length in your follow-up, while making sure that you are doing it with only the highest response emails.
