So yes, links are very valuable, because they're one of the rare factors the effect of which is seen almost immediately.

But it's wrong to think that search engines will ignore 200+ other factors just to prioritize sites with an outstanding backlink profile!

8. Guest posting for link building is dead

No, it isn't!

Do you really think that all those super-smart search engines would punish you just because you published your post on given authoritative platforms with the aim of building your brand? Nonsense!

Not to mention, that literally speaking, guest posting is not about building links!

In fact, most of your guest posts probably will be categorized as nofollow by the publisher ...

Why? Because guest posting is more about building your brand.

Oh and yes, spammy guest posting is dead! It was born dead!

And of course, there are many more myths out there. The best recipe to fight them is just to use your good judgment when you face a new one. Even if it’s coming from a reliable source!
