Now that you have everything you need in paint, it is time to use the select feature to grab and re-position things as needed. I recommend that you start in the upper left hand corner and work out from there.
Here is how I positioned everything in my image:
I started with the logo first. Then one by one I selected the pieces of text and dragged them to where I wanted them to be. Once everything is in place, you can grab the little box in the bottom right corner of the white space and drag it up to frame out your image.
Notice all of the extra space I had to work with all of the different images and text.
Bonus Item!
As I was designing this site I had determined that I also wanted to create a textured background image to be tiled in. To do this all I needed to do was take a small box in Paint and used the Paint Bucket tool again to fill in the whole working area with the color I wanted.
Then in the Brushes drop down box I selected the Airbrush option as show here:
Then while still having the same color selected that I filled the space with, I clicked on the Edit Colors button:
Then all you have to do is grab the slider on the right and slide it down to make the color slightly darker.
Once you have done that, click the Add to Custom Colors button and then OK. Next is the fun part as you vigorously shake the Airbrush tool all over your image with your darker color selected. Make sure to go all over the place, up & down and left & right! Then you will have something that looks like this:
Now you can go to into Wordpress under Appearance > Customize > Background Image: select the image and the tiled option. This will give you nice textured background that is subtle and not distracting.
