The most basic thing to do with images in a Microsoft Word document is to insert the image into the document.
You may be asking yourself "Why would you want to do that?" The answer is that once the image is in the document, you'll be able to manipulate it in many ways. For this tutorial I will be using the following image
To insert the image, simply click on the Insert tab and then on Picture
Then you browse to it on your computer and the image will be inserted.
See, I told you it was simple!
Ok, so now that the picture is in the document, if you click on the image, notice that the "Format Picture" toolbar is now there
This toolbar is really neat because you can do all kinds of color changes and artistic effects, you can add a frame, add some background glow, change the layout to include some text....there's literally tons of things you can do once you start playing around with all of the options. To give you an idea, I'll use the sunflower from above to show you an example of things you can do:
The settings on this one are: Color Menu -> Olive Color, Accent 3 dark, Artistic Effect -> Plastic Wrap, Frame -> Oval, Border Color -> Dark Blue 60%
Pretty neat, right? Now lets learn how we can insert other things to enhance this image even more!
I'm going to have fun with this. It's just what I've been looking for!
Thanks again :)
