You may have noticed you can add as many menus as you like to Wordpress. The best use for another one is to put it into the sidebar, as a widget. Say you have a list of pages which you don't want in the main menu bar, but you still want them visible to the visitor. You can simply add a new menu to Wordpress with your selected pages, posts or custom links and do this:

Appearance >> Widgets

And add a new Custom Menu Widget to the sidebar (to learn more about Widgets read this tutorial).

And that's it!

sounds good, but still a bit confusing to a newbie like me. How do I switch a page to a post. It looks better on my side bar, and goes in the order I'd like it to?
